You find something you love and the ads nearly eat you alive. Well this post is certified ad-free (but not without few plugs to some amazing quilters and perhaps a few email sign ups.) Paid Patterns
I would be remiss if I didn't share with you the reminder of the incredibly artistry that is out there within the paid pattern universe. Etsy is a great place to look and almost all pattern makers have instant .pdf downloads. It supports the community we all know and love. Generally, these patterns are also more polished and easy to use.
It should be noted most independent quilt pattern designers also offer free downloads when you sign up for their email lists or follow on social media. So be sure to follow pattern makers you love. You will see freebies and amazing discounts all the time.

Free Quilting Patterns
Free quilt patterns can be found in a variety of places. Many quilty bloggers offer free patterns to boost the traffic (and ad revenue) on their blogs. Absolutely no shame in that game but for the end user it can be very frustrating.
The traffic and ad clicks are how they offset what they are giving away for free. They gotta make a living too!
Many fabric manufacturers also provide free patterns, this list will be comprised of those free quilting patterns with links to direct .pdf downloads. The fabric companies compensate the makers and quilters for their time and as a result--the community gets these beautiful free sewing and quilting patterns.
